Strategic Business Development Representative (BDR)

The Role

We’re seeking a Strategic BDR to fuel pipeline growth with high-quality meetings and opportunities. This is not a “dial from a list” role. Instead, you’ll combine creativity, scrappiness, and strategic execution to engage senior decision-makers across healthcare, benefits, and enterprise HR.

You’ll own outreach across channels — email, phone, and social — to craft compelling narratives, open doors, and build relationships. You’ll have a curated list to work from but are also expected to research and uncover new opportunities. Success in this role means exceeding quota for qualified meetings that translate into pipeline and revenue.

What You’ll Do

  • Pipeline Generation: Prospect, qualify, and book high-value qualified meetings with HR, Benefits, and Healthcare leaders.
  • Multi-Channel Outreach: Leverage a mix of email, social selling, phone, and creative campaigns to break through to prospects.
  • High-Agency Execution: Go beyond scripts and lists — research accounts deeply, personalize outreach, and think creatively to stand out.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing and account executives to ensure messaging alignment and tight handoffs.
  • Market Intelligence: Capture feedback from prospects to inform go-to-market strategy and messaging.
  • Quota Ownership: Consistently hit and exceed meeting-setting and pipeline creation targets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Experience: 2–4 years in a quota-carrying, meeting-setting role (BDR, SDR, or Inside Sales Rep) with measurable success.
  • Top-Tier Training: Background in high-performing sales organizations
  • Cross-Channel Prospecting: Comfortable executing campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn/social.
  • Creative Hustle: Able to design scrappy, thoughtful plays that cut through the noise and resonate with executives.
  • Aggressive Self Starter: Self-starter who doesn’t wait for a script or a manager you create momentum and own outcomes.
  • Business Acumen: Quick learner who can grasp Goodpath’s value prop and translate it into meaningful conversations with decision-makers.
  • Resilience & Drive: Unafraid of rejection, motivated by goals, and energized by winning as part of a team.

Compensation

$60-85K base with $100K - $120K OTE, depending on experience. Commission is uncapped and includes commissions for meetings set/complete, opportunity conversion and deals closed/won based on your outreach.
